Yesterday we did Kelsey's 9 month check up. She is doing great. She is now 30.5 inches tall (which is "off the charts" according to the doc- which means it is greater than the 95%) and she weighs 20 lbs and 5 ounces (75%). We finally have her off the meds for acid reflux and we are in the process of weaning her off the hypoallergenic formula. Yeah! Kelsey has not been a big fan of the baby food- she likes finger foods she can feed herself- the doctor assured us this is fine and said she can have anything to eat in bite size pieces that is not a choking hazard. Yesterday she sampled grilled cheese (which she really liked), pears (not so much) and mom's meatloaf (ate 3 pieces so must have been ok! :)) Her favorites are still the Gerber puffs (she even knows the word puff- you say it to her and she gets a big smile) and graham crackers.
The doctor also confirmed what we though- she is getting 4 more teeth about to come in (she already has 2 uppers and 2 lowers). The ones on either side are swollen and will break soon. Luckily, she has been fine about it- just wants to chew on everything!
Kelsey is still doing her own version of crawling- she is getting faster at it though! She wants to hold our fingers and walk all over the house. She is starting to get braver- she will let go of one finger and get her balance- sometimes she'll even let go of the other finger and stand for a moment by herself before falling backwards. She is also working on pulling herself up on the coffee table, her stand up toy and us! (Once she even tried to use Jewel- that did not work so well :))
Here is a recent picture to show how tall she is now and her starting to move:
