Kelsey with her push walker
Kelsey has been trying to walk. She is cruising around everything- the coffee table, the couch, the bed, etc. We showed her how to walk behind this toy once and she took off. She loves it. She gets so tickled with herself when she is walking behind it as you can see in this video.

Kelsey can crawl up the stairs
Kelsey discovered the stairs this past week. The first time she went to them- she crawled all the way to the top by herself (of course we did not have time to get the camera- we were making sure she did not fall).
This is the second time she did it- Daddy was her spotter and mommy and Grandma Napier took pictures.
She moved quickly - caught daddy off guard.
About halfway there.
Kelsey is 10 Months Old
It is so hard to believe Kelsey is 10 months old. She is growing up so fast! She is such a little charmer as you can see from the photos. You bring out the camera and she brings out the smiles. She is crawling everywhere and trying to get into everything. We are loving every minute of it!
She loves to clap her hands

Mother's Day 2009
We celebrated Mother's Day with Grandma Laird on Saturday. Kelsey had her first taste of Chinese food- she really liked the lo mein noodles and chicken.
Here is Kelsey and Mommy
Kelsey enjoys riding the lion her Great Aunt Betty got for her
Walking with Grandma over to see Grandpa
Grandma, Mommy and Kelsey- we painted Kelsey's hands and feet and made flowers on a flower pot for Grandma

Sunday morning Daddy and Kelsey woke Mommy up. Kelsey came in the room saying "ma ma ma". It was a sweet way to wake up. Daddy made mommy cinnamon french toast for breakfast- her favorite- but Kelsey really enjoyed it as well.
Then Kelsey helped Mommy open her presents.

Kelsey's 9 month check up
Yesterday we did Kelsey's 9 month check up. She is doing great. She is now 30.5 inches tall (which is "off the charts" according to the doc- which means it is greater than the 95%) and she weighs 20 lbs and 5 ounces (75%). We finally have her off the meds for acid reflux and we are in the process of weaning her off the hypoallergenic formula. Yeah! Kelsey has not been a big fan of the baby food- she likes finger foods she can feed herself- the doctor assured us this is fine and said she can have anything to eat in bite size pieces that is not a choking hazard. Yesterday she sampled grilled cheese (which she really liked), pears (not so much) and mom's meatloaf (ate 3 pieces so must have been ok! :)) Her favorites are still the Gerber puffs (she even knows the word puff- you say it to her and she gets a big smile) and graham crackers.
The doctor also confirmed what we though- she is getting 4 more teeth about to come in (she already has 2 uppers and 2 lowers). The ones on either side are swollen and will break soon. Luckily, she has been fine about it- just wants to chew on everything!
Kelsey is still doing her own version of crawling- she is getting faster at it though! She wants to hold our fingers and walk all over the house. She is starting to get braver- she will let go of one finger and get her balance- sometimes she'll even let go of the other finger and stand for a moment by herself before falling backwards. She is also working on pulling herself up on the coffee table, her stand up toy and us! (Once she even tried to use Jewel- that did not work so well :))
Here is a recent picture to show how tall she is now and her starting to move:

Kelsey Laughing
After Kelsey was done eating dinner the other night- she got the giggles. Of course by the time we got the video camera out- she wasn't laughing as hard, but it is still pretty good.
