Kelsey's 1 year check up

Kelsey went to the doctor for her one year check up. She is doing great. The doctor says everything looks great! She is now 31 and 3/4 inches tall (which is greater than the 95% and just 1/4 inches shorter than mommy was at this age) and she weighs 22lbs 4 ounces (75%). She is wearing 24 month size clothes now! The doctor told us her growing will slow down now- so maybe she will be in 24 month and 2T sized clothes for awhile.

Kelsey Opens Presents

It took much of the day for Kelsey to open her presents- she liked the cards more than the presents. We would open the card and she would take off with it. She would not try to open the presents until we took the card away. Here is a short clip of her opening a present from Mommy and Daddy. It was crayons- mommy can't wait to color with her.

Kelsey Eats Cake

Here is a short clip of Kelsey eating some of her birthday cake. It took her awhile to put her hands in it- she does not like getting her hands too messy! Once she tasted the cake she seemed to get the hang of it and liked it. Grandpa Napier was disappointed that she did not get it all over her face and hair- she was too dainty!

Opening her first present of the day- it was from her kitties- Ariel and Jewel. She loved the kitty peek a boo card from them.

The kitties gave her her favorite treat- Puffs! They even came around to help her open presents- it was a big deal that Ariel would get that close for so long!

The cake I made from scratch- I made the cake and the icing and decorated it to match her plates, etc. It turned out great and tasted great too!

Kelsey enjoyed the gift bag from Uncle Steve and Aunt Shannon. She was dragging it all around.
