Kelsey's first concert- The Wiggles

We took Kelsey to her first concert and it was The Wiggles! She loves the show and the music. She tries to sing with it and dances with it so we thought she would enjoy it. We were right- she loved it- she danced and sang along with them. Now we always have to listen to them in car and she sings. It is so cute.

Here she is at the show- she was very excited
It was hard to get her to stand still with all that was going on
Waiting for the show to start- she would not look at the camera- she wanted to look at the stage
Mommy and Kelsey before the show

Reading the program with Mommy
Singing and dancing with the wiggles
Video of Kelsey copying their dance moves
In case you don't know who the Wiggles are- this is what they look like. They are 4 Australian guys who have been soing with for years.
Kelsey could not take her eyes off them

Kelsey's 2nd birthday

We cannot believe that our baby is 2. We had a great day with both sets of Grandparents. Kelsey loved opening all the presents- it took all day to get through all them because of course we had to play with each thing after we opened it. Mommy made Kelsey a marbled cake (from scratch). It was a Minnie cake since that is the theme Kelsey picked out.

The Birthday Girl!
Opening her first presents- a bad filled of Minnie gifts to go with her theme
Grandpa helps Kelsey put on her Minnie slippers
Carrying her Minnie plate, cups, and silverware to the table to be ready for breakfast
Dressed in her new Minnie outfit

Kelsey loved all her balloons- she spent a lot of time this day and other days playing with them
What is under the sheet?
Pulling the sheet off
It's a fun kitchen set to play with
Grilling up some hot dogs

Cleaning her dishes off
New food (from Grandpa/ma Napier) to play with her kitchen set

Eating her Minnie shaped watermelon for breakfast- also had Minnie pancakes
Opening her present from cousin Brooke- a wok and food items from Japan!
Doing somersaults
Present from Aunt Stella- an ABC toy- Kelsey knows about 12 letters consistently

Doing a puzzle from Mommy and Daddy
Helping put together the castle Grandpa/ma Napier got her
Kelsey was excited for her baby doll from Grandpa/ma Laird

Using her new stroller from Grandpa/ma Laird to give Minnie and the baby a ride
The cake that Mommy made to match the napkins- never knew how hard it was to make black frosting- but it finally turned out and I was happy with the end result
Mommy helps Kelsey blow up the 2 candles
I want that piece- the mouth!
Yummy cake!

It was a great day!

July 4th weekend fun

Kelsey in her July 4th dress. Can't believe my 23 month old is wearing a size 3T dress!
She was actually willing to pose- as long as she was able to see the picture after I took it
At the Children's Museum in St. Petersburg. She was being pulled up on the chair by Daddy
Helping Daddy build
Standing on the little stage they had there- doesn't she look like she is about to get into some trouble?

Kelsey's Hives

Kelsey woke up this morning and she was covered in hives. Luckily we already were planning to take her to the doctor today for something else. We learned that the hives were the result from being on an antibiotic for a cough she's had. It is called a serum sickness (you can google it), but it is basically that she has a reaction to the penicillin that gives her hives and makes her joints red, hot and swollen. So she is now on a steroid to get rid of it. Luckily she acts fine- just a little itchy. :) But she will never get penicillin again- the reaction could be worse next time.
It is worse around her belly button - and the itchiest. It is under her arm pits, and around the diaper area too.
Not quite as bad on her back.
Good view of it all.

Kelsey at Build a Bear

Kelsey and I went into Build a Bear and she really wanted to make a bear- so of course mommy couldn't say no! ") You can see how happy she is to stuff the bear she filled out.
Pressing the pedal to make the stuffing come out
Rubbing the heart that will go in the bear to warm it out
A video of Kelsey following directions perfectly to get the heart ready to go in the bear
The bear is all finished and Kelsey is giving it a squeeze to test it out
Giving the bear a bath- rubbing her tummy to get clean
At the computer to name the bear- Kelsey choose the name- ROAR!
Kelsey gives her new bear a hug!
She was so happy with her bear- notice the color bows Kelsey picked out to "match"- red and purple! :)
